Each hospital functions as a referral center for obstetric and neonatal complications. | A Regional Perinatal Center is a hospital that serves a designated geographic region and provides all aspects of obstetrics and neonatal services including those for high-risk mothers and babies. In addition to providing clinical services, an RPC has responsibilities related to affiliated hospitals within that region that address other areas such as education, evaluation, data collection, and quality improvement. | | |
